"Cultural Diversity in Art and Education” is being developed as a subsite of the central site of The Web Journal of Art Education in Japan. The goals of this particular site are twofold.
One is to be a communicative forum for the discussion of ideas and topics regarding diverse themes in art and education through articles written by art educators and scholars nationally and internationally.
The other is to be an information resource on art educational programs in colleges and universities in Japan and other countries.
I hope this site will be a window to understanding of cultural diversity in art and education and finally a bridge between the Western and Eastern Worlds.
